Squeezing every last drop out of summer...

We took a quick dip in the lake this evening. It was in the 80s, but the water was quite chilly. the boys managed to swim, but I was too chicken to go under. It was sad to see the buoys pulled in and the volleyball nets taken down for the season. The beach was quite crowded however, and the boats were all crowded close to the beach as well, since there were no more buoys to keep them out.
After we swam, we took a walk on the pier and got a good look at the lighthouse. We haven't done that yet this year, so it was a good opportunity to shoot some photos of the kiddos!
I can't believe Fall will be here in a week! While walking to the pier, we noticed a tree turning bright yellow and dropping its leaves in the sand. Asher looked up at the tree and gasped "Look! It's Fall-ing!" When I bent to pick up some bright yellow leaves, he said "Don't pick up the Fall, mom!" Too cute.
Well, Fall may be around the corner, but I'm certianly going to soak up every last drop of summer I can get!

My boys out on the pier.

Rhy worked her poses for daddy while sitting on the pier. Talk about a scenic backdrop!

Sassy girl with cute toesies!

It's been a good summer for the Harrmanns!

Asher's Big Day

Thursday was a big day for my little Asher. It was his very first day of school! As a friend of mine remarked recently ... doesn't it seem that our older children were older than this when they first started?? It sure does! Even his backpack looked huge on the little munchkin!
But he was SOOOO excited to go to school, as you can see. His teacher is wonderful (you can see her in the shot where he's walking into the classroom). So I really think it's gonna be a great year for the little guy! The only down side? He has to miss his nap on Tuesdays and Thursdays. When I picked him up from school on Thursday, his little eyes were at half-mast and he was so pooped that he asked if he could relax on the couch when he got home!!!
When I asked him what his favorite part of the day was, he replied "Snack time!" What's not to love?? He also had a recess with his older brother, which made his day.
Pictures of Gabe on the first day will come eventually. They are on Nate's camera, whereas Asher's were on mine...
