Duck, Duck ... DUCK! ... February

 In February, we started eating duck twice a month. Ohhhhh.... so amazing! I found duck breasts at Martins and it's so much easier than cooking a WHOLE duck, which makes the house all smokey!

Katrina's 42nd Birthday ... February

 Nate took the day off work for my birthday and we had such a great afternoon spending time together. We went to Niles, for a little antiquing and Gabrizio's Italian cafe for desserts and coffee. Then, it was dinner with the family!

Snow Play ... February

 We had SO much snow if February! I don't think there was a single day where we saw bare grass! One afternoon, Asher even grabbed a "wand" and went out and played like a kid ... because he IS STILL A KID! Good for him! Rhylah also joined in for a bit of Harry Potter snow fun ... with Roubi of course! :)

Ice Fest ... February

 We wandered down to see the ice sculptures one weekend while Papa and Grandma were here.

Harrmann Snow Prowl ... February

 Every once in awhile, we get sorta bored and cabin-fevery and it's late (or early, but it gets dark at 4 p.m.!) so we (Nate & I) decide to go on a snow prowl. The kids don't usually want to. But we make them. Hahahaha!!! :) No, seriously ... it always ends up being a memorable time. This year was no different. Late one evening, we decided to go hike through the moonlit woods on the Knauf/Vineland trail behind Ace Hardware. The moon was so bright, we barely needed our lanterns. There's something magical about crunching along the snow in the woods in the dark ... hearing ever sound amplified ... knocking snow off branches ... we even found a fort! It was GREAT fun!
