New Year's Hike

We went on a hike yesterday, to celebrate New Year's Day. It was really great to get out in the fresh air. These trails are dog-friendly and right near our house, which made me decide that this summer, I'm going to break down and get a fishing pole so that I can take Gabe fishing here next summer. It's just the most perfect little stream! Anyway, Gabe and I had fun running around with pretend (stick) guns and shooting "beasts" as he called them. I also had fun capturing a few images with my new camera.

Cute pics! What kind of camera did you get? I'm thinking of picking up a Canon Powershot SD700 IS for a nice little point and shoot with no shutter lag.

Cool! Nathan bought me a cute little 7 megapixel Pentax that's waterproof at 5 feet deep for up to 30 minutes! It's pretty sweet! It even zooms in and out INSIDE the camera, so there's no lense moving around outside your camera. (I'm probably butchering these terms because I know NOTHING about photography! But oh well!) I'm just glad that I finally have a camera that takes the picture when I press the button instead of having a 3-second delay! That was always so frustrating!!
