Heart-to-heart
Great news! This morning, I got to hear our baby's heartbeat for the very first time. I'm in week 14 already, but at my last checkup, week 9, it was too early to hear it. So it was a great joy to finally get to hear it. Asher went along with me, but he didn't seem too impressed. :) The rate was 169 ... which means a girl, according to the old wive's tales...

169? Wow, that is a seriously fast heartbeat!! But I do love hearing it, regardless of how fast or slow it is -- it's so reassuring to know that there really is a little life in there.
