Squeezing every last drop out of summer...
We took a quick dip in the lake this evening. It was in the 80s, but the water was quite chilly. the boys managed to swim, but I was too chicken to go under. It was sad to see the buoys pulled in and the volleyball nets taken down for the season. The beach was quite crowded however, and the boats were all crowded close to the beach as well, since there were no more buoys to keep them out.
After we swam, we took a walk on the pier and got a good look at the lighthouse. We haven't done that yet this year, so it was a good opportunity to shoot some photos of the kiddos!
I can't believe Fall will be here in a week! While walking to the pier, we noticed a tree turning bright yellow and dropping its leaves in the sand. Asher looked up at the tree and gasped "Look! It's Fall-ing!" When I bent to pick up some bright yellow leaves, he said "Don't pick up the Fall, mom!" Too cute.
Well, Fall may be around the corner, but I'm certianly going to soak up every last drop of summer I can get!
My boys out on the pier.
Rhy worked her poses for daddy while sitting on the pier. Talk about a scenic backdrop!
Sassy girl with cute toesies!
It's been a good summer for the Harrmanns!

Great pictures! I feel quite the opposite as you, however. I can't wait to get my Halloween decorations out and take brisk walks and drink hot cocoa! Maybe I'd feel differently if I had such scenic views! Beautiful!
Great pics! Looks like you had fun! I don't think I'd have gone in the water, either. Brrr!
So pretty! A beautiful end to the summer, pretty sweet family picture too!
Beautiful!
All my students think you live by the ocean! I have the shot on my screen saver!
They ask, "Why did Mr. Staude ever move away from home?" and I find myself wondering that too....
sigh!
