Okay, this post was inspired by my good friend Amy's blog. She decided to lose her post-baby weight, and now I am determined to do the same! Don't get me wrong, it's not that I haven't lost ANY of my preggers pounds. But for some reason, with this third child, the weight didn't just magically melt from my butt, hips and thighs the way that it seemed to with Gabriel.
So. This chick is gonna have to BURN it off! Ever since week 4 after my baby, I've been exercising 2-3 times a week, maybe 4, if I'm ambitious. But there have also been about 2 or 3 weeks in there where I totally lose motivation and don't do ANYTHING. (i.e. if I'm sick on Monday, I use that as an excuse to not work out all week long...ugh!)
The other pitfall for me has been after-dinner snacking. It's too easy for me to just eat some popcorn or ice cream with my hubby at night without considering what I'm ingesting. UGH!
But now I'm well and truly determined! I want to lose ... drum roll please ... 20 pounds!
I'm going to shamelessly copy Amy's idea of posting my results on my blog margin (to the left). I'll post my last workout and my results and urge anyone to bust my butt if they notice it's been awhile since I've been working out. And as a side-note, thanks Amy for this idea! It's just the motivation I needed!

what a good idea! i still have 15 or so lbs. to lose and haven't found any time to even start an exercise routine! maybe now that rowan seems to be getting less colicky, i can officially start too!
Yeah, it's hard to find a time to work out when you've got little ones! It's quite a challenge! Luckily, our treadmill is in the playroom in the attic, so I can run while my little ones play!
I'll bust your butt if you bust mine!
Cool idea! Maybe that will inspire or guilt-trip me into doing something myself ... Make me feel guilty -- constantly talk about this at work and maybe I'll feel awful enough to try some routine myself!
Hills and valleys ~ that's how our dear marathon running Dad encourages us to think about our fitness "motivation" in life. Be healthy and be happy; workout when it feels great and DON'T let it become a guilt-source, because that's just no fun! You are a beautiful girl! Yeah! Have fun with designing your workouts ~ that's always a blast!
