The bright side of getting an inch of snow last night, is that the birds
are out in droves! Last night and this morning, I've seen male and
female cardinals, sparrows, house finches, the ground-shuffling juncos,
flashy neon goldfinches, black-capped chickadees, morning doves,
downy-headed woodpeckers, one huge, audacious red-bellied woodpecker and
a BRAND new bird at my feeder ... the tufted titmouse.

A red house finch waits his turn at the feeder. |
