Here are some random photos from May!
Miss Rhy joined a T-ball team for the first time!
We had a funny visitor in our backyard!
Lucca turned 2!
We found some 100-year-old letters in our home, and were able to give them to the grandson, who had very little family left. It was a really neat experience!
The first sea shell of the spring/summer! I found this little gem on one of my runs!

Nate's 37th birthday! We went to Salt of the Earth, his favorite restaurant, in Fennville. Then we had peanut butter pie and opened presents. He got new barefoot running shoes from Merrill, charcoal bike-to-work pants, a new bike helmet and a thingie that clips his iphone to his bike, so he can see his mileage, etc.

New Cushions

Soooo, as you can see ... our couch cushions have seen better days. For some reason or another, the zippers have been busting out on the seams. So in April, I decided to pull a Maria Von Trapp, and use some old curtains in our basement (That came with the house and were somewhat hideous in our bedroom) to make some new cushion covers. I think they came out really nice! I'm on the fence about doing them ALL in the stripey fabric, or if I should just stop at these few that were busted. Hmmmmm....something to think about!

Visiting STL

We visited St. Louis after Easter, so I was able to see my adorable new niece, Rielle, once again! She's such a snuggle bug! The photo is of me and and her while we were eating at a restaurant on the Katy Trail. The photo of the kids is one taken while they were playing on an iron bike sculpture thing. We had so much fun seeing everyone.

Easter Morning

On Easter morning, Nate made me an AMAZING breakfast of eggs bennedict! They were SOOOO yummy! This shot of him cooking in his Sunday shirt and tie is one of my favs. He looks so handsome! :) After breakfast, the kids went on a small Easter egg hunt in the backyard. We filled a bunch of plastic eggs with candy and money, and the kids had a blast trying to find them all. Afterwards, we had salmon and asparagus for Easter lunch, followed by a lemon trifle with homemade lemon curd made by me. It was a gorgeous day and we so enjoyed the first hints that spring is on the way!

Dyeing Easter eggs as a family!

Asher's New Specs

Asher's got new glasses!! I think he looks like my dad back in the 60s! What a cutie pie!

I spent over a year cross stitching these mermaids for Rhylah. It was the first time I'd worked with beads. there are hundreds of them ... tiny crystal seed beads ... sewn into the fabric, thru the hair and tails. It was a lot of fun!
