My Book ... October

Early in October, I finally finished writing up my family memoirs (from my dad's side of the family) into a little book for the kids/nieces. It's called "Some Good Old Days" and it's historical fiction, based on some of the old stories that Uncle Carl and Uncle Erv shared with me over the years. It was also my absolute FAVORITE gift that I gave out this Christmas. I especially enjoyed watching my father's reaction. While the stories aren't necessarily exactly true to life, I got as close as I could. And is sure felt good to get a lot of that family lore down on paper, where it's much less likely to be forgotten. This was a project super close to my heart... and was about two years in the making.
